Through workshops, discussions, and guest speakers, the conference was an opportunity for participants to be inspired by the work of all inner city teachers, students and community organizations. Participants worked to develop a national action plan for inner city education, challenging current practices, policies and programs.
“The TDSB is committed to leveling the playing field for our students,” said Gerry Connelly, Director of Education, TDSB. “By hosting this conference, we hope to share best practices that will lead to greater success and improved outcomes for our students and communities.”
Politician and diplomat, Stephen Lewis was the Keynote Speaker at the Conference.
